I think I might have killed my supply 😭😭😭

I couldn’t get on a consistent pumping schedule so I decided to cut back on the pumping (only pump when she’s napping or sleep for the night) & just breastfeed her on demand & supplement with formula when she’s still hungry after nursing. When I pump now, I’m barely getting any output. Could this be because she’s emptying me now that she nurses more or could my supply be drying up? 🤔 I’m 12 weeks pp btw.

Are you not getting an out put because your pumping after breastfeeding or every time you pump? also are you pumping in the night and are you staying hydrated and eating enough calories?

If you’ve been feeding on demand, could be that your supply has regulated to the demand you received on average! Hydration & protein intake are the only things that notably effected my supply , when I’d slack on either of those two my supply would dip. Also your period coming back can cause a supply dip for the first few days before it starts & the first few days of it.

Also also, if your pump has any tubing involved; check the tubings connection points, that might be why the pump is seemingly slacking

I’m 12 weeks postpartum and went through a similar experience. I stopped pumping altogether and would only pump occasionally, sometimes just once a day. To boost my supply, I started taking the Milk Flow Orange Mango drink twice a day along with Mama’s Bliss Lactation Hydration tablets. Within a week, I noticed a big difference—my milk supply increased significantly. I’m now feeling full and even leaking, even after my son has nursed. I started using these because my breasts always felt empty, and I felt like I needed some extra support. I’m not sure if it was the hydration, fennel, fenugreek, blessed thistle or a combination of both, but it definitely worked for me! I was skeptical because I thought those drinks were money grabs but they indeed worked for me. I do want to add that I did this on top of eating enough calories and drinking my water daily!

I stopped pumping for a while, and when I got back into it, my body had regulated supply in line with demand so I wasn't getting anything. So I increased my fluid intake and started pumping after every feed and every morning. It took 5 days to get my supply back up, and ended up engorged again 😅 so it's tricky to balance it out. This worked for me! Good luck

Thanks for the tips! Now that I think about it…I’m definitely not staying hydrated enough & I skip meals (mainly breakfast) more often than I should 😕 I’m gonna work on that & come back with an update next week

@Tessa I tried this before & loooved it. I just haven’t been back to buy another box yet. I used to mix it with coconut water & top it off with a little OJ or apple juice

@Hartise oooh yesss! Coconut water is amazing for milk supply. It’s hydrating 🥥💦

You can bring it back, go girl, get hydrating, get nourishing, get pumping. You can do it
