Quickenings?

Hey - so it’s my second baby, but with my first I just remember feeling KICKS from the first kick at around 15 weeks. I’m now 18 weeks with my second and I can’t tell if I feeling movements or not. I feel very very slight tickling once every few days and sometimes what feels like popping but again not very regular. I’m so very nervous this time around and feel like I need to see a scan constantly to believe he’s still ok, so I’m desperate to feel constant movements to settle my anxieties. Am I feeling movements? Am I feeling enough movements for 18 weeks? When can I expect to feel strong, undeniable movements?

18 weeks is still early for strong movements and it really depends on where your placenta is as having an anterior placenta can mean that you typically feel movements later than if you had a posterior placenta. Baring in mind all pregnancy’s are different, people tend to feel kicks and movements anywhere between 16 and 24 weeks

@Donna Woods thank you - sorry I should have mentioned my placenta is posterior. Just worrying because every time a think I feel something in my head I’m like “was it? Was it not?” I can’t be sure which then causes me to question if everything is ok

@Beth I get that. I felt exactly the same and was stressing for ages about it. Especially as so many of the other women expecting the same month as me were chatting about feeling movements and I hadn’t felt a thing. But then one day at 19 weeks and some days, I felt it clear as day out of nowhere. The relief is amazing. And you will feel it before you know it x

I didn’t feel movement until almost 19 weeks
