How long does it take your baby to finish a bottle of expressed breast milk?
We introduced a bottle to our 5 week old earlier and he drank 3oz in about 5 minutes. Is it normal for them to drink so quickly?
Bottle was pace fed with a size 0 teat.

Yeah, my five week old also drinks her expressed breast milk a lot quicker than when she breast feeds, and it really freaked me out at first as our breastfeeding sessions are usually 20 minutes +, but with a bottle it is a lot quicker xx
it’s very runny and thin and allows them to drink it quickly. my girl does a 4oz breast milk in 5/10 mins but the same size formula takes her around 25mins as it’s so much thicker

Yeah, this is quite normal. It’s much easier for them from a bottle which is why some babies can become fussy on the breast once they're having a bottle too as it's much harder work.
