I’m dairy free in normal life and honestly i have just found that the more you eat the dairy alternatives the more you get used to them, the only thing i can’t adapt to is the cheese! A lot of the plant milks are fortified so have the nutrients you need in them. I like the alpro stuff, like their yogurts particularly the vanilla one and flora spread is already dairy free and they have a plant butter. The lurpack plant butter is my favourite, but it is expensive! Most supermarkets have their own ‘free from’ items which you can trial. It probably depends what meals you eat already but you can make lots of things like bean chilli, pasta dishes, stir fry’s without needing dairy. If there’s anything in particular you eat a lot of, feel free to message me as ive tried pretty much every alternative out there 🤣
Peanut butter and rice cakes is a great snack. I’m dairy free and my 16month old is dairy free and I’m still breastfeeding him as well! Flora butter is amazing and oatly oat milk is the best milk alternative.
There’s a fb group I think that’s great for this. I ended up getting my meals made at a local health place to avoid and slip ups and otherwise survived off dairy free butter and toast for snacks/breakfast. Just go with vegan food and you should be good!
