Red Bull🤣

I haven't had a Red Bull for about 10 months now and I'm craving one so badly🤣 I am however exclusively breastfeeding so I haven't had one yet🤭 Does anyone know if I can have one or it's best not too? I know it sounds really stupid but I have craved one my entire pregnancy🤣

I’m also exclusively breastfeeding and have had a fair few red bulls… the night feeds are hard!😴 On the back of the can it says not recommended for breastfeeding women - they have to put this on there to cover themselves. The NHS website says no more than like 300mg a day and a red bull has 80… which is roughly the same as a cup of tea so 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’ve been happy to have one here and there and haven’t noticed any difference in my baby x

i’m EBF too and missed redbull my whole pregnancy too! i’ve had one since giving birth. i wasn’t sure if i was allowed one or not so i went half on a can with my partner 🤣 go get yaself a redbull gurrrrl

I've been drinking an energy drink each morning 😂 as above says same caffeine as a coffee so I figure it's ok. I had a stash I've almost finished so will swap to coffee after that but I don't think it will hurt to drink one.

i’ve been wondering the same for coffee, i avoided caffeine totally until late in the third trimester so been craving proper coffee! I’ve been having one and just mindful when i have it, i think it takes 6 hours to pass through breast milk so i don’t have it after lunchtime.

I had a sugar free redbull yesterday (I am EBF) but due to a hospital appointment I was using a bottle of EBM so took it upon myself to have one 😁 To be honest I craved it so much pregnant, had one after birth and hadn’t thought about it since! I say have one! Have one as you are feeding so that the caffeine is gone by the next feed if that makes you feel better 🤷🏻‍♀️ otherwise it’s the same as having a coffee I suppose

I asked my health visitor today about alcohol and she said the amount that comes through your milk is minimal if you don’t drink excessive amounts - assuming it’s the same with energy drinks however I’ve had neither and also EBF but do drink coffee

Ngl I had the odd one throughout my pregnancy too because I was craving them soooo bad!! I’m sure it’s okay to have one occasionally, it won’t hurt the baby!
