@Zoë for some reason it’s not working (or I’m not using it properly) I find that because it’s never dry, my cracks aren’t healing? How do you use them? x
Ask your midwife for dressings to heal them they were amazing for mine x
@Ashleigh oooo what kind of dressings are they? I’ve been discharged from the midwifery team as I’m 4 weeks PP, maybe the health visitor? x
Maybe try to get a referral for a tong tie review. Breastfeeding shouldn't hurt 💚 In my area, there is breastfeeding support available via online video chat twice a week. I used this service to get a quick refresher on newborn positioning. Maybe check what support is listed in the red book / ask the health visitors. 🤞🤞🤞
I was advised not to use cream with them. Make sure they are clean and just wear them all the time you aren't feeding. Having a few drops of breast milk in there too can apparently help the healing. It may take a few days which I know is excruciating when you are feeding so much. I just found that not having the trauma of my clothes brushing against my nipples really helped!
It's called jelonet it's really good stuff. I was under the Breastfeeding team so had it from them but yeah I'm sure the health visitor could help. X
Look into silverettes
Silverettes worked for me but also some breast milk. I also bought some nipple shields which I used for a couple of weeks which helped them recover a bit xx
Silverette cups have done far more for me than any nipple cream. Have been the difference between me stopping BF and not
