Wanting to stop breastfeeding

So my girl is 9 months old and recently I’ve been feeling like I want to stop breastfeeding. It’s taking a toll on my mental health and I feel drained. I planned on BF for as long as possible but recently I just feel done. Has anyone got any advice on how to go about this, I know it would be difficult as she is very much used to it now. She will take a bottle but not from me. Part of me feels so guilty for wanting to stop😥 any advice appreciated thank you!

I am in the same boat 😭 She is used to night feeds and clinging on to the booby so I’m really stuck 😓😭

@Zee thanks for your comment! Glad to know I’m not the only one, it’s so tough isn’t it. I never used to find it draining but recently I don’t feel like myself anymore😥

I've been feeling the same recently, I had a couple drinks so skipped a night feed for a bottle and she was fuming 🥲

Mine is nearly 10 and just stopped now! It got to the point where we were up all night and he wanted the boob and any time he had to sleep would have to have it. I decided that stopping will help with teaching him to fall asleep better. Anyway. Leading up to it introduced more bottles of formula gradually. And then eventually I stopped (chose morning so that he would know he is going for naps without the breast and by nighttime the fight was slightly easier). I express about 4 times a day still,I’m only making 200-300 ml a day but want him to carry on little bit of breast milk as it’s better for immunity with big season in full swing!

@Gemma ahh my girls the same kicks of massively when offered a bottle sometimes🥲

@Kinga thanks for your comment, this is helpful to know it’s possible! Xx
