@Sky-Louise my gp literally wouldn’t do anything for me in my first pregnancy. At 8 weeks i’d gone over 5 days not even been able to drink water as it literally came straight back up and the gp literally told me to drink more🥲 I’ll definitely be going to the gp and demanding this time round bc of my 15 month old. I need to be around for her. We don’t have a village at all really. She’s at nursery the two days i’m at work and then with me everyday x
oh no! That’s crappy. Just take lead this time. This is your body and your baby and you know it best! If you can’t keep water down and food etc I use to go to out of hours because I literally couldn’t cope, and I ended up being admitted onto a drip. It’s not ideal no, but don’t give up. Can’t believe they said to drink more 🙈. Lucozade helps me.. little sips but often and sometimes it just saves the day! Also I get this with childcare and work im the same. If you have A/L maybe take a day to yourself whilst baba is at nursery and just rest! Don’t feel guilty x
@Sky-Louise thank you! I definitely will be doing. I do have a few annual leave days coming up which will definitely be helpful 🥰x
For me, I have to have a meal every 2 hours. Not a snack, a meal, and the nausea subsides 🙏
@Parris ngl the thought of this made me want to throw up, but i just made a meal for lunch and i’ve felt better since🙌🏼🥰
I know I feel like that every time I get nauseous between meals but I know I have to eat otherwise I feel dreadful. It really does work!! All the best xx
@Parris thank you so much! You too🥰xx
I feel for you! I’m 6 weeks ish and is my second, I don’t remember feeling so sick with my first but could just be because it was 4 years ago and a lot has happened since then 😅 it really is hard to bare, especially in work and since we have to keep everything going for our other child. Have you tried eating ginger and the acupuncture wrist bands? X
@Danielle i definitely remember feeling worse with my first from week 6-11 i was in bed the whole month barely able to even drink. It was awful and i dunno if i’m just more worried about that happening again. I don’t even have that choice this time round🥲 I used the expert midwife B12 melt drops and they definitely helped the nausea in my second trimester so will definitely be getting some of these again. It’s honestly so hard. Especially with us not telling anyone yet so can’t even really ask for help and give the reason, that might have to change depending on how this develops though xx
Bless you 😔 its hard enough with medium nausea, I bet being bed bound was so tough, I can imagine that you’d be worried about that happening again. I’m the same, not telling anyone until post 12 weeks but I did last time and support was great but things are different this time x
@Danielle i did the same last time we told close family at around 8 weeks and asked them not to say anything & within 24 hours it was common knowledge and i felt so betrayed and vulnerable still being in the early stages🥲 so i want to hold off as long as i can x
Yes this is me too :(. I had HG so I was sick like 15-20 times a day in my last pregnancy throughout the entire thing. I ended up being on injections everyday it was horrific. I’m 6+1 and I’m feeling horrid + I have a very active 1 year old. I’m just trying to keep going, and just accept it’s out of my hands. I’m already on medication, but it’s making me so tired! Don’t be afraid to reach out to your GP! Big loves. It’s hard! Xx
