Exclusively breastfed baby - Occasional formula feed?
Hi,
My baby is 6 months old. She has been exclusively breastfed so far but I struggle to pump milk and was wondering if it would be fine to give her occasionally formula - when she stays with my partner and I go to a doctor appointment, or a keep in touch day for work, etc

@Ellie thanks Ellie. I might give this a try then. She might scream if I’m out but I’ll know that it won’t be because she wants milk 😅 so nothing “vital or urgent”
If you can pump a little, when I first introduced formula I mixed both together… then decreased amount of breast milk and increased the formula
I was giving my ebf boy a bottle of formula before bed when he turned 6 months.. until he decided he was going to point blank refuse bottled the past 2 weeks 😭😭

Yes this is what I did with my first, I just used the pre made bottles as I couldn’t ever pump enough. With my May baby he has 1 bottle of formula a day before bed, which means I can take turns doing bedtime with my husband.
