Period returned while breastfeeding

This is my second time round, I breastfed my first til 21m, but I dont recall getting my period back so early - baby is 11m old and still feeding heavily. It's also a bit of a gnarly period! 🫣 Have you started menstruating again while breastfeeding, and if so, how soon after the birth?

12 months pp with both

I got my period back at 5 months pp while I was exclusively breastfeeding (: the first one was heavier & longer than ever before but after 2 more periods it got normal again & less crampy most the time

3 months with this bub 🙃

8.5 months but I know lots of people who got theirs back after a month or so so definitely not ‘early’ so to speak at 11 months x

Yeah I got mines back only at like a month pp

I got mine exactly after 2 months pp

6 weeks PP 😪

6 weeks PP, then 9 weeks and 13 weeks 🤣😭 so think that’s my cycle back to regular now xx

I started my period 3mo PP and my baby is large and drinks a lot of milk

Thanks all! Sounds like I'm far from unusually early then! Hugely unreasonably I sort of feel like my body's saying ' right, time for the next', when actually we are very done 🤣
