Help

Had my second baby a week ago and I can’t figure out how to help her with nursing… we seem to be having a list of issues and idk what to do! The issues are as followed: - She struggles to latch properly - she won’t stay latched - she shows no interest in waking long enough to eat half the time - even if I can get her latched I don’t think she’s drinking because I don’t feel relief in my breast and have to pump afterwards and always end up feeding it to her not long after - she will frustrate herself rutting for the nipple and when I try to help she screams the second it’s in her mouth and won’t close down on it…. - I’ve been told she does NOT have a tongue or lip tie - I bought nipple shields and while they help a bit she still doesn’t seem to be eating from them- she does eat from a bottle. Any advice I’m losing my mind trying to get this to work…

Try different positions. Getting milk while pumping after feed does not mean she did not transfer milk. If possible weigh her before and after feeds to know whether she transferred enough. Also try paced bottle feeding with lansinoh or pegion bottle as their nipple has gradual slope like breast.

See a lactation consultant! They can help you troubleshoot the situation. My son had an inconsistent latch for months. We supplemented ( with formula, but it was always offer booby first in some form). He did get better with time and lots of trying.... And with gaining weight all over as well ( he started smaller than expected )

We had several weighted feedings with our lactation consultant
