Getting baby off dummy

My little girl is 6 months & I would love to get her off the dummy, she only uses it to go to sleep & to resettle herself if she wakes up. I would like to get her off the dummy as I’ve heard it’s harder the older they get! Is 6 months too soon? Also any tips to stop using the dummy would be appreciated! TIA x

We did it at 5mo. Apparently it's easiest before 6m or after 2yo. So I'd go for it now. There's a post a bit ago today about it if you want to have a look at it.

@Sophie thank you!! Just read the post! I’ve tried the comforter but she’s not bothered by it & keeps crying🙈 do I try a different teddy or blanket?

I'd just persevere without anything. Unfortunately I think there's bound to be crying. Getting rid of a dummy is so hard whatever age. My friend just did it with her 2.5yo and she had a week of crying before bed/nap. Said it was awful but now everything is back to normal.
