they will just give you antibiotics during birth it’s perfectly safe, did the doctors not explain this to you?

Don’t stress yourself out it’s OK just before you have the baby. They have to give you antibiotics so even if you go into a natural state of labor, they can still get the antibiotics in you before you have babies so you can still have a natural birth. Tested positive with my older two and had to go through the antibiotics. I think it’s like a bag or two that they give you with the solution so if you get induced, it’ll be easier for them to give it to you cause then they kinda have a plan already, but don’t stress yourself out you can still have a natural birth

i just found out i have it too and honestly don’t know much besides the antibiotic thing mentioned above, visited my doctors yesterday and they didn’t even bring it up…? i’m assuming they just administer the med within a window before birth through iv then all is well and they’ll keep an eye on baby but i’m sure everything will be okay!

@Hollie I am at the doctors now, waiting to talk to her.

I’m positive too and also want a natural delivery, my dr said that they will minister antibiotics generally penicillin four hours prior to babies birth and so you’re just hooked up to an IV and then they monitor baby for a little bit longer like fever infection around the umbilical cord and then they give you instructions on what to watch for when you go home but if there’s any concerns, the hospital won’t let you go home which is what my dr explained it shouldn’t interfere with what you want to do brith wise other then just haveing the iv

Ok, I spoke to doctor and I think that I was overreacting. She said that is totally fine and normal and that she had it with two of her pregnancies. I asked if is better to do c section to avoid all stress about it being passed to the baby during natural birth and she said that is absolutely not necessary, since once antibiotics are given baby is totally safe and there is no risks. So I will just go with that…

@Anjie keep me updated if you hear anything new from your doctor and good luck to you since I see that you are week or two before me. 😊
