Hi all, I’m 2 weeks pp and I think I’ve got an infection down below (had a 2nd degree tear and stitches) who do I contact, do I go back to triage/labour and delivery, community midwife or GP?

I would ring up your MAC unit x

I spoke to my midwife regarding this as I had an appointment that day anyway and she told me to book a gp appointment. My midwife was happy to check but recommended gp as they could prescribe me medication for it and she couldn’t xx

If you’re 2 weeks PP, you have 4 weeks to still access the Maternity Triage otherwise I’d recommend your GP

Call up maternity triage, if they can’t see you, they can at least point you in the right direction
