Coughing when asleep
My baby is sick constantly as keeps catching his sisters nursery germs 😢 current illness involves lots of coughing when he’s asleep - he’s having very short naps but only having two a day still !! And is up for hours overnight coughing secretions. I’ve tried holding him upright, propping him up with pillows, olbas oil…going to try the nasal drops tonight. Anyone been through similar and found something that helps? Will take him to the doctors if still ill next week as he’ll have had it for a week by then. Thanks.

@Emily yes I am worried he’s either got the start of a chest or ear infection - will phone tomorrow to get him checked out in case as he’s warm but no temp when I’ve checked. His lungs were sounding really crackly when he was breathing with the previous cough but that’s gotten better now. Best to be safe isn’t it! Oh yes I forgot about the calpol plug ins - think I have one in a drawer will have a look thank you.
My little girls been exactly same. On top of teething 😫 I'm running on 5 hours sleep in past 4 days 🙈 I took her to docs yest... viral 🙄 xx
@Kelly oh no - that means they can’t do anything to help doesn’t it?! I can already tell I’m in for a rough night tonight 😢

My baby had similar recently and once it had appeared to settle down, no cough, presented as a raging temperature. Went to A&E after speaking to 111 and prescribed antibiotics for a chest infection! Calpol plug in did help when he was coughing lots x
