Weaning at 8 weeks?

I want to start gradually reducing breastfeeding from now on. We’ve been EBF since birth and I’ve been expressing but it’s been a really difficult journey. I wanted to wait until 3 months but I feel like now is the time to start switching to formula as I’m feeling resentful and I want to start building structure in our day. Has anyone got any advice on beginning this journey? I don’t even know where to start and the info online is very vague..

I started by dropping one pump/feed and replacing it with a bottle each week, obviously took several weeks but stopped my getting too uncomfortable and was a steady adjustment for baby. I would say do what feels comfortable for you though, as soon as you stop feeling engorged then drop another.if baby is already taking a bottle then the tricky part is done. You can also mix breastmilk with formula if baby doesn't take it to. Mine will eat/drink anything so I had no issues with going straight to formula though

@Carly what formula did you offer? Cause my daughter is 7 months and I want to wean her off

@Skye mine is on kendamil but it's become a bloody nightmare to find in the shops so I wouldn't recommend. I think the mamia one in Aldi is great value and always in stock, if you have a nearby store.
