Struggling

Is anyone else struggling with their mental health? I am finding it hard to get into a flow with every day life when my LO is up several times at night still. I feel so low and don’t have any energy. If anyone has any tips I’d be grateful.

I find walking every morning helps me. If I skip the morning walk and drive to school I feel so low and groggy for the rest of the day. Also putting the radio on whilst I’m pottering around the house lifts my mood. Simple things but they help.

Do you have any baby class activities in the week? I tend to do one thing a day, sometimes a class, a walk and coffee with a friend. Then I tend to have one day in the week just at home. It breaks it up for me. Sensory Monday, Yoga Thursday, Swimming Friday. Leaving two days to plan something with my NCT or other friends, or stay home and chill.

Yes, I do! I think we all go though it at some stage or another. Motherhood is a blessing but it’s a huge life change. Feel you on the constant wake ups during the night - it’s like all the days roll into one. Try local baby classes. Something to put a bit a structure into your day. I do one on a Monday and Friday. Or going to meet up with friends or family or even a walk through the park. Also check your iron levels incase your anemic x
