I’ve put a flat pillow under my little one’s sheet (started from her having a cold so wanted her a little more upright) but she seems to sleep better with it there ever since. I’ve also seen you can buy buttonless duvets to lower the risk of suffocation. I’m just nervous to introduce a blanket incase she pulls it over her face in her sleep. She’s brilliant with pulling things off her face when she’s awake but I’m nervous to put it to the test at night. There are also sleeping bags with arms and other ways to keep them warm so I think I’m going to wait until maybe 18m to introduce a duvet
We only introduced it all when they were in beds and not cots. My eldest was two and a half because we moved house and got him a new bed with big boy covers. The triplets are still in cots and sleeping bags despite being one already
@Becka This is my issue too! The room is 20degrees going to bed but he is waking around 1ish and wont settle back his cot once he has woken.. his bedroom feels cold but not freezing and he is lovely and warm. So I am not sure if it’s coz his room is a little chilly. X
@Sophie he likes to nap on the sofa with a light pillow during the day. I dunno if this will help him sleep better. I am the same i am worried of introducing a blanket yet. My partner is all for it but i am still unsure x
@Laura Byrne Mine is still in his cot and instead ready anytime soon to move to bed. Maybe I just need to get layer up more x
I’ve introduced a pillow and duvet/blanket for my little one and she’s absolutely amazing with them. Sleeps a lot better (unless poorly) and I started with a pillow and a cellular blanket and then moved onto a thicker blanket before giving a coverless duvet x
I haven't but I'm interested to know what others do as our little girls room is so cold and she's already in a long sleeve vest, fleece pjs and 3.5 tog sleeping bag! so wondering if a duvet/blanket would help x
