Hi, I am currently 3 weeks dairy free due to suspected cmpa. My son had eczema on his cheeks very bad and mild over whole body. His body has improved and almost cleared but his cheeks are still bad. I have been using cetraben cream on him multiple times a day to help moisturise his skin. I think his cheeks are slowly improving but I do think it takes a while to see a difference. I was hoping it would be immediate but for us it has been a gradual improvement. I'm hoping over the next couple of weeks thr cheeks go back to normal 🤞🤞
It can take a few weeks to see an improvement. It can take a few months for all symptoms to full go. My little one was dairy free for 2 and half months and still having symptoms. Also it can take a while for dairy traces to fully leave your system. Be easy on your self. Your doing the right thing is can just take a while x
It’s only been a few days. It takes 6 weeks. Plus, my little girl has CMPA and her eczema was one of her symptoms but she’s still suffering with her eczema despite not eating anything dairy or soya related. It’s so hard because you need to be able to manage the eczema.
Thank you for your messages! Just wanted reassurance. I just assumed his skin wouldn’t get worse! I am waiting for a call from the doctors for some help managing his eczema because it has just gone out of control this morning 😢 so hard for them x
@Ellie think of treating cmpa like antibiotics it gets worse before better
Have you replaced milk with soya? Just be aware that 40% of cmpa babies also react to soya. But as others have said, just give it some time hopefully you'll see improvements soon
It could take up to 6 weeks to see a true difference For us her skin was one of the last things to clear Have you ask drs for creams if it's eczema
