Debate: Lash Lift and Tint Whilst Breast Feeding?

Right. I’ve recently had it done, they look great as you are all probably wondering. My boyfriend’s sister, thinks that this is not safe to do so while breast feeding. Now, I’m not denying there’s somethings online that say not to do it, but there is also a lot of things that say that it’s perfectly fine. So debate is: Is a lash lift and tint a big no no or am I free to do what I like, and can safely tell her to shove her opinions up where the sun don’t shine? If there’s any medical professionals on here, please please do get involved.

Just do some research and make an informed decision. I do that with a lot of things. I’d say if it’s something you love and you don’t see a problem with it then screw her opinion. If the risk is more than your willing to take then that’s fine too. Use your mommy instincts :)

Have you googled it? It's 100% safe. How could it not be, it's eyelashes. Some techs say not to do it because hormones might affect the result but that has absolutely nothing to do with baby. It's absolutely safe to breastfeed.

You’re allowed to. Don’t let anyone else make you feel like you can’t do something if you’ve made an informed decision to do so already on your end. If you’re healthy and happy with your own decision, f em! If your baby is healthy and you’re doing all you can to grow a healthy baby, f em!

I really can't see why not

I'm a lash tech and educator...it is completely safe to have it done. HOWEVER, the reason some salons won't do the treatment, is because your hormones are still all over the place allergic reactions can occur and you won't be able to take string enough antihistamines whilst breast feeding. So it's more a safety aspect incase of reaction rather than the treatment itself. Xx
