Swaddle alternatives???

My baby is almost 4 months old and I’m very aware that she will begin rolling over soon and I’m dreading the day honestly. Only reason being, when they can roll from back to belly then they can’t be swaddled anymore. Well my baby REFUSES to sleep unless she is swaddled tightly. And I mean, I have tried to wrap her with her Velcro swaddle just around the chest with her arms out and she cried for like 30 to 45 minutes in her bed. (Don’t come for me. We are cry it out kind of parents as long as she is fed and in a clean diaper.) As soon as I adjusted the swaddle to put her arms in it, she went out. She does this every time. I can swaddle her completely and she is out within minutes. So are there any mamas who have had to transition their stubborn baby from being swaddled to not? And how’d you do it or what did you use cause I feel like if we start now, it’ll be easier when the time comes.

The love to dream swaddle/sleep sack we loved and our daughter slept in. After that we used a sleep sack where her arms were still tucked in but she had full range of motion incase she rolled. Then eventually she went to a regular sleep sack

My son is in the snoo and still likes to be swaddled in there as well. With my daughter we tried the Merlin suit and it worked great! We’ve used it on him a couple times as well and he liked it. I’ve read a few people on here liking it too!

I transitioned by first leaving one arm out the swaddle then eventually both, then moving to the sleep sack

We switched to the HALO easy transitions sleep sack, and it has been amazing. It is designed to stop the startle reflex that often wakes babies.

Honestly my kiddo was the same, I just had to do cold turkey. He did better than I thought. We started sleep training at same time.

Dreading this too! Her longest stretches are when she’s swaddled. We tried arms out and she slept maybe 3 hours? Bought the magic sleep suit and she hated it. I think it makes her too stiff. She loves being swaddled and with that she’s like a lil starfish so she gets frustrated and woke up a lot
