I was thinking the exact same, 6 weeks and was worrying my supply was dropping but it’s apparently Normal
totally normal! i've been feeding my toddler for almost 26 months and after a while my boobs just felt totally normal, no hardness or leaking even when she was going most of the day without feeding. back to leaking and hard boobs now though with my newborn, but at 7 weeks it's definitely calming down xx
Yeah my HV said they'll get softer. As it establishes and as baby gets older your milk gets more calorific as their needs change. Your milk changes with your baby all the way through!
@Chloe he’s just turned one month so I am worried that mine is under supply issue which I didn’t have until recently I suspect as ive gone cold turkey on pumping on my moms advice 🥲 did yours go soft around one month or more recently at 6 weeks?
@Bethan did they say around when? My LO just turned one month and I fear my supply has gone down as he’s eating more often yet seems fussier and his sleep doesn’t stretch longer. I used to pump and recently fully stopped which I fear has changed the balance
@Danielle he’s just turned a month so mine can be lower supply as I used to pump 2-3 max a day and stopped it fully. Did you pump?
I’d say my boobs only changed tail end of week 5, if yours is a fluctuating supply because you stopped pumping; just keep getting baby on the boob as much as you can, whenever he wants it, and whenever you feel you could offer a top up, and your body will start increasing the milk to match the demand! If you’ve stopped pumping it is likely your body is reducing the supply because it’s gone from thinking you need those extra 3 feeds; to no longer being required! Feed on demand as much as you can and stay hydrated and your body will works its wonders xxx
Yeah that’s normal. Same for me. Happens around 6 weeks when your milk supply is established.
