So I’ve tried a few things over the years. For shorter outings (<1 day) I have a Pack It lunch box, the kind you freeze the whole lunch box. I add 2-3 reusable Ice packs. This kept frozen milk semi frozen but the ice crystals were still in tact by the end of even a long day. For really long travel (>1 day) I definitely would try to find a fridge or freezer. But I tested this method on a 7 hour drive. I took a soft pack ice chest (like medium size 24 can) and shoved one of those foam ice chest (mine was like a inch thick but just save money and get a cheap one) into it. For extra insulation. Then lined it with every ice pack I owned. It kept every bag of milk frozen. This actually stayed cold enough that it started to freeze the fresh milk I pumped.

Reusable ice blocks and a cool bag, I had frozen breast milk in my suitcase for 6 hours still fully frozen. Get them off Amazon
I personally just use a small cooler bag with reusable mini ice packs or reusable ice and it lasts absolutely ages whilst out. The milk always stays ice cold.
