Bedtime routine

I’ve been thinking about implementing an earlier bedtime routine as approach the 12 week mark. Currently bedtime for bubs is 10.30pm with us. We’d look to give a feed at 7.30pm for him to then go down about 8 in his next to me. What do you do after this? I know babies shouldn’t be left to sleep on their own before 6 months, so does this mean an earlier bedtime for us as we have to be in the room with him? Or do we (if comfortable) use the baby monitor to keep an eye before we then go up to bed around 10/10.30 and give him another feed? Guessing there’s no definitive answer but intrigued at to what people do!

I live in a one story house. I lay baby down in her nursery and then go down the hall to the living room with the monitor.

We use a monitor which has a sound and movement alarm. I don't think it's feasible to always be in the same room as them when they sleep as they need the quiet and dark!! We just keep a really close eye on the monitor x

My boy is 10 weeks and weput him down around 9pm (wakes up twice or three times for a feed). We then are in the living room which is next to the bedroom, we can hear him if he cries and we have a baby monitor. Our routine is bath around 8pm, feed right after and drifts off. However, from what I'm hearing it is early days for a routine and this is not a strict schedule. We do it for however long it works for him. I'm not stressing over what time he gets to bed, its more about the process-bath, feed, dimmed lights, reading, lullabies etc

My little boy is 9 weeks old and we have been putting him to bed at around 8pm for the past 3 nights. It’s not been very smooth sailing as he keeps crying for us and we’re having to soothe him to sleep. A bit disheartening as his older sister was a breeze. We were putting her in her next 2 me awake at 6 weeks old and she’d fall asleep on her own with no bother

My almost 3 month old goes to bed between 530pm and 7:00pm once he has a bottle bath cuddles and book sometimes and sleeps til 1am and then wakes for the day at 5:30am. I have been doing that since 7 weeks and he’s never had an issue or fought it, I guess we didn’t realise when we weren’t aiming for a routine it just happened
