Lack of motivation

Hello, I’m going through a very long period in which I’m lacking motivation to follow a healthy diet and to exercise. My hubby loves to cook and wants me to eat every time, so I don’t have his support from that point of view, also when I go to the gym he starts complaining saying that I’m losing too much weight while I’ve lost 3kg and I’m still on the overweight side. He’s not so much into fitness and healthy eating as it’s not really in his culture, but I really would like to have his support because not being able to get my confidence back is destroying me slowly. I feel like I will never get my body back. And I just need to go from 68kg to 55/58kg. Nothing less. Never expected to feel so demotivated even because just last year I finished my undergrad exercise and nutrition course. Any suggestions?

Show your support

If it’s getting you down that much just make a decision to be better and do it for yourself to get back to where you want to be. You don’t need anyone else’s support, all you need it’s the want to change to do it. Give yourself a target for example your birthday or for the summer or something to push you o make the changes too. I’m going through something similar with my second baby and made the decision to before giving birth I needed to loose weight and eat healthy to actually feel like myself again l as life has changed so much and the things I loved doing (exercise related) and eating etc I just haven’t done in the last two years. So enough is enough I decided I had to change and making the changes and slowly getting back to where I want to be. It’s all in the mindset. You can do it 👍🏻 xx

@Lindsay I will try and hopefully it’ll work. I’m just in a very bad space and I’m doubting myself. I know what I want but it’s so hard to do anything now.

I would have a very clear conversation with him explaining how important it is for you to have his support. With this said, if you have the tools and know what you’re doing it might only be the case you need some accountability? Open to chat at any point, if it helps xxx
