So he napped 1 hour in the morning, 20 min in the afternoon and last nap was 1 hour but he woke at 4 o clock, so a long stretch until bed time (3.5hours). I don’t think it’s down to the naps just because he’s done this before and always been fine :/
Oh that’s on the low side in terms of total sleep and last window a tad too long so could also be over tiredness. But if that’s what he normally does maybe it’s being cold or teething
Oh I could have written this! One of my twins wakes up at 3 am and babbles CONSTANTLY until 5am. Then the other one wakes at 6 am for milk and my 5yo gets up at 7 am for school. 🤷♀️ If anything works for you please please let me know! I’ll try anything to get that 3-5am wake window cut out. 😭 Mine nap 11-12, 15-16, the other one naps 10-11, 14-15:30. And they wake for the day around 8 am and go down about 8/ 9pm for night.
I think typically that’s because of too much sleep during the day and/or the wake window before bed wasn’t long enough. Also if a single nap is too long it may confuse them into thinking that’s night sleep and therefore affect actual night sleep. They just simply wake up and feel refreshed and don’t feel the need to go back to sleep until some sleep pressure builds up which takes time (around a normal day wake window). Could be room temperature related too…it’s a minefield, might take some trial and error to figure it out
