Baby being difficult about feeding

I posted this in another group but have had no answers, hoping to get some here: My baby is a week old, and he is bottle fed breastmilk. Whenever we give him the bottle he will feed from it then pull away, just to immediately cry and start rooting again for the bottle. He also lashes at the bottle and will cry while the bottle is I'm his mouth before realising the bottle is there and latching. Currently he has been doing this for over an hour and only consumed about 1oz. He doesn't want his dummy at all he wants the milk but he keeps doing this. He was way way worse on the breast when we tried it. Anyone know why he does this?

My baby was very similar to this as a new born and it ended up being sever reflux. She’s been on gaviscon / thickener for months now but it took us multiple hospital stays & doctors trips to get there x

My son is breast fed but when he does this it’s normally because he’s gassy!! I really struggle to get burps up when he’s like this but intact helps us a little!

Maybe gassy or not hungry enough?

Is this a new behaviour? It Sounds like he could be cluster feeding.

Have you check to make sure he’s not tongue tied? X
