Do you try to get baby to sleep in sling/carrier or does it happen naturally?

I was wondering if you try to get your baby to sleep (like bouncing on pregnancy ball) or if you just go about your chores etc and they happen to fall asleep along the way?

It’s a mostly try to get them to sleep. But when they are this young sometimes it just happens naturally. But I would be like like bouncing and swaying as much as I can as long as long patting on their back

I just put baby in and go about my day and she usually falls asleep, she's 5 weeks currently

For me it's more about calming him down, as he fights the wrap so much 😅 Then once he's calm he usually falls asleep

normally she happens to fall asleep especially if i put some music on and sing along while i clean up. but when i'm feeding our toddler to sleep, my husband will often put baby in the carrier to calm her/help her fall asleep xx
