@Afshan this is what I’ve tired but she still gags. Can I ask how you managed to do it ? Did she gag at first? X
We use mam too, the day and night ones he does gag a little but I’ve got other mam ones that seem smaller and he has been fine with them x
I’ve always used Nuk dummies and my daughter took to them from newborn and found them to be a lot better than the mam ones
No, gagging isn’t normal. Is your baby bottle or breast fed? If bottle fed and the brand of bottle you use does a dummy in the same shape as the bottle teat then that’s your best bet? And of course make sure it’s the right size (0-2m in the case of mam)?
@Abby use mam bottles and used the mam dummy made her gag 🧐
I was using the mam but baby would gag quite a lot so have started using tommee tippee ultra light and so far so good
if you put a few drops of milk in their mouth just before putting the dummy, this could help them suck in a similar manner to the bottle instead of gagging or spitting out
Hi … my lo doesn’t have it all the time and tends to spit it out when she’s done it’s mainly at the beginning of her sleep or when nappy is being changed. I am combination feeding just now.
I use NUK and Dr. Brown with my 1 year old and used them from newborn.
Mam do some smaller ones called mam comfort. They have a smaller teat than the ones that come free with the bottle. They are a bit pricey but the only ones my little one will keep in his mouth
We're also using mam 0-2 months. Tried already already at the hospital so early as bavy was struggling at night. No problem at all. He is using it only sporadically though. And sometimes when I offer it to him he doesn't even want or he will spit when he finishes with it. So far do good. If it's helping your baby then I don't see anything wrong in using it.
Is it too big for her? They do have sizes on them so Mam have 0-2.
Thank You Girls ❤️ xx
Make sure you have the right size dummy and don't force it in. Offer it by touching to the lips and let them take it.

i'm using the mam ones at the minute for my little boy they seem to be the best ones for him to be able to feel comfort when he's using them
Ha ha I gave in and gave mine and she is 3 weeks old .. being so small I’m using the mam one that comes with the free bottle as anything else is too big for baby right now
