Baby waking up at night

Baby is 5 months and half and still wakes up every 2h at night to feed 😩😭 he’s exclusively breasfed. I have tried anything but I can’t get him to sleep more than 2/3h stretch it’s constant. I tried settling with rocking etc nothing works. Only the boob will. The thing is I need sleep since he was born I’ve not had one single night of sleep I cannot deal anymore with this. I can’t pump and give more as I can only get a little bit and don’t want to risk mastitis by power pumping. Quite desperate for sleep.

I'm in the same boat and have just accepted the lack of sleep 😴 He sleeps no more than 2 and a bit hours at a time but usually it's an hour and a bit before he wakes wanting food. Sometimes I can hold him and pat him back to sleep, but he'll still wake at the 2 hour ish mark 😅 I just am hoping he will sleep longer when he is ready 😬 I now nap at least once in the day and hope it's his long nap 😂 Keep going - it has got to get easier!

When food is introduced you'll see a big difference! I chose to combi feed at this point and it worked wonders for sleep

Omg it’s so much!!!

Did introducing food made baby more sleepy? And they were able to connect sleep cycles? What was the meal schedule

We did a week of one 'meal' a day at 6m. I say meal lightly as it was a matter of a couple of spoons of puree. The week after I did it twice a day, third week, 3x a day, and she has progressively eaten more and more. Now we've dropped the boob & she's on 3x meals a 3x bottles a day at 7.5m.

My son used to be an excellent sleeper but for months he’s been waking me up but we went on holiday and he slept in a single bed with a bed guard and slept amazingly… I thought what we was doing was just tiring him out but we came back from holiday & he sleeps absolutely awful in his cot he would constantly move and I think that disturbed him too and so I bought him a toddler bed & put a bed guard on and he’s sleeping all night now!! I’m not sure what the logic is behind

That’s so strange @Shelby ! It could be just the change of the bed and he prefers that! I really wish that with the solids he starts sleeping more
