Hey there! New as well and following because I need to loose a few pounds. I’d like to workout at home with minimal equipment.😏
Strength + steps will always be the recommendation! Get your steps in, whether it is walking at home or on the treadmill. For strength, you will want to focus on lifting heavy! Choose how many days you want to lift and you can google a three/four day split to make sure you are targeting all of your muscle groups :) don’t be afraid to ask the gym trainers for help
Have you used chatgpt? Honestly it's an amazing source. Start your prompt with something like "I want to get into shape, I'm new to working out. I'm looking for beginner workouts. I want to workout # of times a week for roughly # minutes/hours. I want a plan for at a gym as well as at home where I have (insert any equipment you might have or "no equipment ") Read through what it suggests, make any edits or ask questions and let it answer. Then say you're also looking for new ways to eat healthy clean foods and things to boost energy and need help with meal ideas or recipes. Then when you start at the gym feel free to ask the employees for help if you need it. If you're going to something like a planet fitness you're probably stuck with just employees but if it's a private owned/small kinda gym you likely can get loads of help from other gym members

@Jessica honestly first time 😳 I thought I was okay with my weight and now that I’m separated I think I need to prioritize my health more since I’ll have way more free time
@Gaby putting yourself first and prioritizing your health is an amazing gift to not only yourself but those you love! As a busy mom of 3 I’ve found that fitness is my me time, even when the littles join me. It helps me to feel my best not only physically but mentally and emotionally too. Plus, the greatest feeling is when my kids ask to workout! Showing them the importance of self-care, and health and wellness came full circle for me the first time that happened and reinforced my why for showing up not just for me, but for them too! You got this, mama! 🩷 One step and day at a time. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Thankful for a village of moms like you to lean on in the midst of this crazy, beautiful journey.
@Gaby so if it's your first time back, it's perfect because it'll start you off with building a great foundation and helping restore core strength before doing heavier exercises (which will come later in the program!). I will say that there is some language and sections geared more towards "new" moms with recovery and baby needs but the exercises and nutrition advice are universal! Please feel free to reach out with any further questions!
