My girl will only sleep in a bassinet at my mother in laws house at home nope she gotta be in bed with me🤣 shes one of a kind for sure 🤣🫶🏼 love her to death tho
Maybe play some white noise when she’s in the bassinet?? It really calms my little man down
I ALSO NEED ANSWERS
@Monet definitely been doing contact naps 🥴🙊😭 … and she gets milk drunk. Maybe I should find a way to separate quietly after the feedings. Thank you for this perspective!
@Hunter 😭😭😭
@A.R. The white noise works for about 3 minutes. Sigh….
It depends on the child. My daughter hated bassinets so we bed share. My second born doesn't mind it at all. We also still do plenty of contact naps during the day.
I agree with making sure he’s milk drunk and changed! My baby is a week old & we do contact naps sometimes but he has no problem sleeping in the bassinet
Try putting her down feet then legs, butt,etc then head last while keeping your hands on her butt and head. You can rock her a bit this way and slowly pull your hands away, head last. You can also put her on her side and pat her butt then gently turn her on her back. My baby just hated the bassinet so we started putting him in his crib and he goes down so easily and sleeps well. He also startles a lot and didn’t like the swaddle so we switched him to a sleep sack where his arms are free. We use the halo, I think he likes it because it feels like a blanket.
Also ladies, second time, mama here, lol I don’t know everything, but I have two very different experiences and the one noticeable thing I do different than with my son is that I put a blanket wrapped tightly around the mattress at the bottom half and feet of my son with him also being swaddled because they’re too little to push off the bottom of the bassinet so you don’t have to worry About suffocation or anything like that and it gives them that extra warmth good luck mamass
Try getting your natural scent on the bassinet. It helps my son sleep in it longer! I put clothes that I had worn all day and some towels I had dried off with (that were sopping wet or disgustingly dirty) in his bassinet and crib and rubbed them around and left them a few days. Next time I put him in it he started sleeping a little longer. Ofc that scent will never be as a strong as it would be sleeping right next to u unfortunately !
Do you do allot of contact napping or fall asleep with her? Because my daughter was like that and it was a battle I lost she’s almost 2 still in our bed lol but I just had my son on the 23rd and he be chillen in his bassinet so I wish I had tips but the best thing Ik that I’ve done is no contact naps if I do it’s a short time make sure your LO isn’t wet at all and fed to the point of milk drunk lol all babies are different which I’ve learned first hand I wish you luck 💕💕
