Hi! I’m 30+6 and I only started feeling more firm kicks/movements very recently. My baby is measuring big though so he might just be running out of room sooner so I’m feeling more 😵💫 Up until like the last two weeks it was mainly that fluttery / gas bubble feeling, and only 2-3x per day for a few minutes at a time. All is well though and he also moves a lot every scan. Having an anterior placenta is a nerve wracking experience and I have no idea how I’m supposed to be “counting kicks” when every feeling is insulated.
I am almost 28 weeks and he is measuring a week ahead since week 19. Started feeling him on the outside around week 24 and the kicks have just gotten stronger. He is super active and karate kicks me often, especially when I lay down to go to sleep. I have definitely heard from other moms that have not felt their baby move until later. It really is body to body, so I would try not to stress too much 💕
I have one too! Its a little higher so i can still feel kicks right on my pelvis clear as day 😢 but other than that i only JUST started feeling flutters very rarely on other parts of my belly. Defenatly nerve wracking but the doc says hes doing just fine in there so listen to your dr and just enjoy the little bubbles and flutters wgwn you can. Drinking cold juce seems to help them wiggle around tho!
@Kelsey A. Yes! I could watch my son move across my belly and feel every kick, movement, and hiccup and it’s so different this time around. I also think it could be because I’m also moving and chasing after a toddler where before I was relaxing more. I’m 30+4 and I’m so ready to feel more tough kicks. My baby is measuring smaller though so maybe that isn’t helping.
@Emma Gonzalez Kulman Do you have an anterior placenta or Posterior?
Anterior!
@Victoria Doctors never seem to be worried they are so casual sometimes! I’m glad get to see her move a lot on the scans I just wish I could feel it more.
Me too. Third trimester and my husband is the only one thats felt a kick! My mother in law is beside herself 😅
Hey there, I have an anterior placenta too and it’s been quite the same for me as well. Baby will move a lot on scan, but can’t feel them much. It’s a tough one for sure but as long as you still feel movements you’re okay, if you want reassurance I would call your ob and go in to get checked.
