Love that @Simone. Doesn't mean your baby has to be left to cry.
Completely agree with @Simone. We’ve been having a lot of success and do exactly the same, even when I can tell my little boy is starting to get frustrated I go straight up and pat his tummy and give him his dummy to help settle him again.. he spits it out soon after then just goes to sleep! I put a red light next to the bed that he stares and chats away too bless him haha. But has worked every night this week and I’m so proud 🥹 I really don’t agree with cry it out method.. I just feel there’s no need! Plus i physically couldn’t do it 😢 Would recommend the pick up out down method. Would also advise to give baby a wake window of about 2.5hrs before bed (I take mine up at 2hrs then by time I’ve given bottle and cuddles another half hour) found that has really helped too as he’s super tired xx
I’ve got a health visitors guide that I brought for the pick up put down method, private message me and I’m more than happy to send it to you! .. and anyone else on here if your interested, 🥰🫶🏻 xx
Sleep training doesn't necessarily mean leaving your baby to cry. There are more gentle ways to do it but it just takes longer. I've been working on putting my baby down more and more awake but if he cries I pick him up straight away. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't so its taking a while but he's getting better and better, he even went to sleep from completely awake without me doing anything the other day. There is no rush as well, as long as you're both OK then you don't need to change anything, just do whatever you're happy with.
