Hospital

Hey mamas! I'm curious to know what hospital or birthing center you guys plan to deliver your babies at or your experiences there if you've delivered there before! I'm considering the university of Utah hospital even though I'm a bit far from there. I've heard not so many good reviews about Intermountain off of 126

I had my baby at Riverton Intermountain and I really loved all of the doctors and nurses. My delivery was traumatic, but that was due to complications we already new about and my baby's cord was also around her neck. But I would use them again for sure.

I delivered at LDS Hospital in Slc. I had a really great experience. The nurses were incredible. The anesthesiologist that did my epidural was also amazing. Explained everything, made me feel as comfortable as I could while I was in active labor.

I had both of my babies at McKay Dee. Both experiences were great! The nurses and doctors were very kind and helpful. The delivery rooms are large and spacious, however the mom and baby rooms that you spend a couple days in after are small. Which is great if you don't want a ton of visitors or want an excuse to not have a ton of visitors.

We had our baby at St Mark's in the summer. They took very good care of us. I ended up needing a c-section and then got postpartum preeclampsia so we had to stay there 5 days. We got to know the nurses very well. They're amazing.

I wish someone told me this before giving birth. Idk when you're due...but December is the WORST time to give birth. Staff is on vacation and it's FULL of traveling nurses that are unfamiliar of the rules and hospital. At 32wks2dys was admitted to St Marks Hospital 12/08/2021, due to PPROM of Twin A, supposedly my doctor had just gotten Covid, but in hindsight I wanna say I remember him saying something about going on vacation around that time. They said my babies were fine, I got moved to Postnatal to wait, and said they were going to monitor him via NST 1x per day, i insistedon more often, they said ok, 1x per shift (every 12hrs). On day 4 of admission I kept telling the staff...anyone who walked into my door & even called via the call button (every so often I didn't want to be a nuisance)...something is wrong! They never did anything, til it was time for the next NST...12hrs later, bc supposedly the previous NST (not ultrasound) everything was perfect.

I had my baby in December last year at Jordan valley medical and I LOVED IT. I have heard very good things from others as well. My cousin and friend both also delivered at Jordan valley last year and had good experiences. My nurses were amazing and did everything possible to help me progress and not need a c section it was perfect! The only downfall was the postpartum ice packs they had were actually horrible this time I’ll be taking my own 🤰🏼😂

Just had my baby at the intermountain AF hospital, and the labor and delivery unit was amazing. I loved it. Mother and baby were not as helpful and I went home the next day because I felt like I'd heal better at home, but I was more concerned about the labor and would probably go back because it was awesome. I felt like I really had to fight for help or resources from the nurses in mother and baby. Some nurses were super helpful and others just kinda sucked. It was really inconsistent.

I loved U of U, even though my birth was very traumatic for me. I knew though there was the possibility of it being so, but the nurses and doctors were absolutely amazing. Also I love that primary children’s is right there just in case, and that the hospitals are connected for easy access to them. The U was an hour from me so I do know how it can be far though.

I’m planning on LDS Intermountain Hospital. I’ve been going to their midwives for baby checkups and so far they are amazing
