Moved my LO at 4.5 months and best thing we ever did. He has been sleeping so much better and so have we!
Interested to learn how it’s positively affected you guys ^ 🤗 I’m worried that I’ll still be up and down even if she’s in her own room. Thanks!
@Hannah following as I think we would sleep better but worried about being up and down all night, especially as I have another child x
@Sophie he’s not in his own room yet but I’ve been sleeping separately from him for a while. Mine only gets up once or twice a night though so it’s manageable. I get better quality sleep away so don’t mind going to another room x
I’ve also done it at 5 months and was a game changer! We have our evenings back and she’s sleeping soo much better, she must like the space in her cot rather than the next to me in our room. Also our toddler no longer wakes her up when he rushes into our room @Sophie
@Sapna was your baby up frequently before that? Last night we had a good and was only up 2 times but prior to that we are up sometimes 10 times 😴
Was bit of a step by step as I was hoping to hold out until 6 months So before then she was she was up couple of times unsettled and one feed around 3am. Then I started putting her in her room in a cot just in the evening as it already had the camera and we wanted our evenings to ourselves. Then did a dream feed around 10pm and brought her in with us. Then after couple of nights I stopped the dream feed and decided to wait until she woke up and that night she stayed in her room and didn’t wake up till 3am for a feed. After couple night of that she stopped waking for a feed. Right now she may wake once in the night for the dummy but settles back to sleep.
Serving the eviction notice - please vacate within 30 days 😂
@Caroline haha 😝 I don’t think I can wait that long! Some people love sleeping with their kids but it’s not for me !
My LG is such a quiet sleeper and literally sleeps through anything! If she didn’t I don’t think I’d be as keen to room share 😁
Moved mine at 3 months because he outgrew his bassinet and the crib doesn’t fit in our room. He prefers I think and started sleeping longer. Unfortunately I still have to sleep elsewhere because somehow he can hear our creaky floors through the shared bedroom wall. So both my husband and I still tag team nights and sleep in the guest room which is directly below him but it’s much better.
I moved my little boy Monday (4.5 months). As much as I didn’t want to, He outgrew his snuzpod and barely had any room.
Moved my baby into own room when she was too big for Moses basket at 2/3 months. Worked well for both of us.
Best thing I've done for all of us!! X
