Moms wanting other mom friends?

I’ve been going to the park and “mommy and me” classes in order to meet other moms and just widen my circle of friends. I’m sure that I am a nice person and despite being an introvert (that’s the scientist in me), I do try my best to strike up conversations with other parents. But I find it weird that no one at these “mommy and me” classes are interested in making friends or are friendly. Does anybody else have this experience? Being a mom is so hard as it is and can be isolating but it amazes me that so many mamas go to these classes to find friends and allies but don’t give you the time of day :( I feel like I’m in high school all over again…

I’m finally experiencing how isolating being a mom can be and really struggling with it!! My son is 5.5 months and none of my other local close friends have kids so I’m really needing some mom friends. So I’m definitely up for hang outs 😊

Mom groups are the worst. I've gone to several and just felt like an outsider. I'm not sure if it's just because of the way I look or I just give off an off vibe, I haven't made any friends at mom groups, so I stopped going. My oldest is 12 and my youngest is 3 so it's been hard for 12 years 😅 still have no friends really, just people i chat with from time to time

It's strange, isn't it? It seems like I can't even get a fellow mom to reciprocate a smile at the library or park. What part of Denver you in? (I'm just assuming near Golden?) I'm a bit south of the metro area now but don't mind a slight drive for good friendship.

@Danielle I am happy to hang out! I live in Denver. My son is 11 months. DM me!

@Abigail I am new to this and just can’t believe the negativity

@Anna I live in Denver and I am happy to meet!

Yes! Always been hard! I found my best friends on this app and never at mom groups. I miss them as they are in a different state. Have also had the worst luck here in Colorado meeting people. It’s hard making friends in your 30s as everyone has established friend groups.
