@Gemma Thank you. My boy is also a ninja in his army crawl, moves too fast for me 🤣 but he’s also not able to put himself in a sitting position yet so is either on front or back unless I sit him up. FTM so not sure what order it all comes in (if there is an order ha ha).
@Holly crazy ain’t it! Turn away for a second and she’s up the hallway 🤣 She doesn’t get herself into sitting either just whines until I do it for her. Oh I definitely wing it on a daily basis. I don’t think there’s an order as such, and everyone will do things in their own time. My mum said that me, my sister & brother were all so different and done things in a different order to each other - my brother never even army crawled, bum shuffled and then walked x
My little guy is the same, has been army crawling for a month or so and is now piling to stand and cruising along the furniture but not crawling. I did see him crawl at a baby class the other day but I think the army crawling is quick and easy for him so he’s not bothering to crawl properly now 🙈 x
Throughout the day, I encourage my daughter by putting her on her knees and rocking back/forth. She’ll only go a few as “proper crawling” then slams down and army crawls. She’s super quick army crawling and can get to what she wants whereas the other way is quite slow and she gets frustrated. She’s starting to pull herself up to stand but I’ve found this week she’s just started sitting independently, she’ll put herself into position and that’s when she does the proper way herself x
