Hi 👋

What’s the diversity like in the state of Colorado ? I’ve never been but my husband and I we’ve always wanted to visit. Is it welcoming? My husband is white and I’m Asian. We’ve visited other states before and some (older) people did not approve of him marrying an Asian and having a mixed baby 😂 I honestly don’t care what people think but I’d prefer not having another encounter like that again 😅😭

Depends on the area, but in Denver and the surrounding we're very liberal and diverse-ish. Colorado on the whole is very white however. You can look to the recent voting record to show general stats

The Denver metro area is very liberal (boulder is rich liberal, not everyone can even afford the standards they expect the world to live by), the southwest is high population of Hispanic and Navajo (even near the Ute reservation, Utes are the minority). If you go out east, you might find some very old views. Hope this helps.

It’s super duper white but one of my best friends here is Asian and I never heard her complain about racism. My husband is Latino and same we never encountered anything bad. People just tell him he gets really tan in the summer 😂

it’s very white here but i’ve never felt uncomfortable as a mixed woman with my white husband and mixed baby. Denver is very progressive, so is Boulder. If you go to Rocky Mountain Park it’s very touristy so you’ll see all kinds of people there. It definitely worth visiting to be in the beautiful mountains

@Pauline love ittttt. Haha girl him and I both! 😂

@Anna @Katie @Izzie happy to hear ! Thanks for the info 😊
