11 months and never slept more than 3hrs straight

Our baby is 11 months old and is awake every 2 hours throughout the night (and always has been!). IT IS KILLING US. I am like the walking dead. He goes down around 7pm and wakes for the day around 7am. He usually requires boob to resettle in the night but sometimes my husband can do it but it’s taking much longer than it ever used to. He was EBF but now takes a bottle and he generally loves food and eats well. He’s now at nursery to add another layer of complexity and getting sick a lot which is adding more strain to getting him to sleep. We’re considering sleep training but because he’s sick we don’t want to start until he’s well again. Any advice is gratefully received. We are at breaking point. Thank you! 🙏

Hi Rachael! I’m sorry to hear you’re struggling mama! Sounds like sleep training would be very helpful to teach your baby how to settle independently. I saw your message on my post and sent you my free sleep training guide. Let me know if you have any questions!

We sleep trained about a month and a half ago when LO was just over 9 months. Similar to your LO was waking every 2 hours (or more!) and would only boob back to sleep. The key for us was breaking to feed to sleep association by moving the feed to the start of bedtime routine, along with getting his schedule right, and capping day naps at 2 hours

Following for very similar advice my LO is 9 months and has not slept more than the 2 hour cycle and seemed to be going off breastfeeding which was helpful but now is using it as a comfort in the night making it difficult for my partner to help
