Changing a car seat has defo helped us with car journeys 🙂
We had the exact same problem and turned out it was the car seat even thought they would be ok if we used it with the pram attachment but for some reason once in the car and driving they would scream the WHOLE journey
My LG hated it for a few weeks, she seems to have got over it now
@Sarah I did think this might be a possibility but ruled out that it was the seat itself because of the pram. But you’ve made me hopeful!! Any seat recommendations? Assuming you went to a bigger seat that suits up to toddler etc?? X
We've had the same issue and the only thing that helped was that we changed the car seat from one that can clip onto the buggy to the joie 360 isofix that doesnt come out of the car. It's quite inconvenient for naps etc as we need to lift him if we need to go somewhere and he's asleep but it saves us from having to try and endure his screaming every second he was in the car.
So we had the maxi cosi pebble and change and tried the maxi cosi pearl and he loves it ! Far happier and now even naps in the car which has been such a relief ! This is week five of the change and it was like day and night the instant we made the swap, only downside with this seat is that you can’t switch it out onto a pram but I will take that sacrifice for peaceful car journeys haha
I’m in the same boat as you! My little lady is currently in the front too but not improved really. We tried to go on a 40 minute journey the other day but turned round and came home after 15 mins because I couldn’t take the screaming 😭 I find she is a little bit better fresh out of a nap, she’s never slept in the car unless she’s cried herself to sleep which I just can’t deal with so 🤷♀️ sorry can’t help, just want you to know same here
