Pregnant again 🫠

Baby girl was born 28th May and I found out yesterday that we are expecting again! (100% not planned) but I had a category 2 emcs after a failed induction. I’ve been on the phone to the early pregnancy clinic, because I’ve also experienced an ectopic pregnancy in the past and booked an early scan for 2nd Jan 2025. I want to keep this baby so long as it’s safe and viable. We’re going to have roughly 15 months age gap between the little ones. Can anyone give me some positive advice/experiences (don’t really want any horror stories please)

I’ve got a 20 month gap and I absolutely love it. My older daughter can’t remember life before her brother x

So there are 21 months between my first boy and my 7 month old boy that I had on May 16th and I’m now 20 weeks pregnant with my third (another boy!!) so there will be around 12 months between them as my third’s due date is my second’s birth date 😂😂 we were also concerned whether it would be healthy for me to carry this pregnancy due to it being so soon after but I’m actually very low risk again and no problems so far

@Briday this is what I was thinking, my brother is just over 2 years younger than me, and to be honest I don’t remember a time without him! My baby girl who’s nearly 7 months old, is a really good sleeper and I just hope that if this baby comes to fruition they will be the same! I’ve felt all of the possible feelings, I’ve felt, happy, sad, scared, guilty you name it, I’ve felt it! Did you have a c section or a vaginal birth? X

@Artemis did you have a c section or anything for your 7 month old?

Assisted vaginal birth for my first and the second was a dream birth with no pain relief! Sorry I can’t help you with the section stuff but plenty of women will have done the same before you x

I got pregnant at 10m PP and there’s an 18 month age gap and their bond is truly amazing, we have and are going through some trials and tribulations with my littlest health but my daughter has become the sweetest and most caring child through it all xx

Congratulations lovely!! I can understand the reservations about a shorter age gap would be lovely though when they start playing together. You got this, take it steady and enjoy Christmas ♥️

No I had spontaneous vaginal births for both of mine and they were super quick (start of contractions to giving birth was 2 hours for the first, 1hr 30mins for the second). I wanted a home birth for this one but not allowed it as I tested positive for GBS which I also had in both my previous pregnancies. I was supposed to have antibiotics with my previous two when I was in labour but because I laboured so quickly I never managed to have antibiotics. I feel like I’m gonna give birth even quicker this time and probably won’t even make it to hospital so again won’t get chance to have antibiotics anyway 🙈

I had 19 month gap between mine. Had assisted stressful first birth. This time it was 4 hours start to finish and a water birth with a bit of gas and air. You've got this!!!

There’s just under a year between my oldest two and they are the best of friends!! I actually found it harder with my 3rd there’s a 9 year gap and that was harder!! I think because your already in the middle of parenting it’s no adjustment, there’s 2 years between baby number 3&4 and they’re getting so close now having a close sibling is having a built in best friend xxxx

My sister had her girls the same age gap. When they grow up (now 5&4) they always have a best friend, close age gap is better for childcare, bonding and also getting through the day/ s! I have a 3 &1/2 years and it would seem worse 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️
