We alternate every feed. It's not often she wants/needs both.
I feed one breast each feed then alternate to other breast on the next feed. If he was showing signs of being hungry or unsettled I would offer other side too but he always seems satisfied.
I feed with one, then next feed the other breast. As then it's had time to fill up
You do what’s best for you, there’s no rules. I offer both and sometimes he will have prolonged feeds on both and sometimes it’s 30 seconds and he’s done. He’s 12 months old
I offer one breast per feed, he’s a healthy boy so it’s worked for us. There’s so much conflicting advice out there, I was told the same to offer one and it’s worked for us :)
I was told by my midwife one breast but more and more recently she's wanted both so I offer both most feeds sometimes she won't need/want it
Thank you all, that’s really helpful
We started off alternating then as he got old I stated offer both not sure when
@Ashlyn same as this. Very rarely will my baby want both. She’s 6 weeks
I’ve been told to feed off one and alternate after each feed because it allows baby to get to the creamy milk. Having said this if he’s fussing on one I’ll offer the other x
I think generally the advice is to always offer but it's totally fine if they just have one side then make sure you offer the other breast at the next feed. By this point you probably know your baby's cues really well and will know if she is done. My son has mostly always been a one boob per feed baby.
Depends if they’re still showing hunger cues. If they’re settled after 1, I don’t offer the other. If they’re rooting then I do
I normally alternate every feed. If she is still hungry I will feed off of both.
