When ur baby wakes during the night, how long do you leave them before going to get them?

I don't know whether to leave her a little longer to see if she self settles. I probs only give her 2mins max (feels way longer but I checked my camera and I'm getting her between 2 to 3 mins) What does everyone else do? For info she's still in our room as we have temporarily moved into my parents house for 3 months while our new house is being built. Would probs be easier if she was in a different room!

I get up immediately when I hear her stir just because it helps settle her faster. My baby is still in my room too.

If he's crying I go straight in but if he just wakes I give him 10 mins he normally resettles in 5/6 if he's going to. He's in his own room though so I just watch the monitor

Honestly depends, if he’s screaming I’ll go up but sometimes he’s made noises I’ve gone up and he’s still been asleep so I’ll wait a few mins to see if he settles down

If she cries I go immediately (she is in her room), because in 5 min of rocking she is back to sleep. If she is just calling..I wait 1/2 min and she usually settle herself back to sleep. But sometimes I wake up and check the camera, i can see her playing with her toys so I just let her and go back to sleep.

Depends if just making noises/getting comfy, I leave her. If she’s crying, I go straight in and settle her! Last night she was proper noisy and wriggly but not crying x

Immediately because it helps settle her quicker. We are in the same room.

She’s in her own room and we’ve found if she wakes she’ll normally settle herself within a couple of minutes, but we do allow up to five minutes. If she’s still upset after five minutes we’ll go in and feed her (but this happens very rarely, 99 times out of 100 she falls back to sleep after 1-4 minutes). We followed the happy sleeper book to help her learn to self-settle and we still follow that. But I agree, it feels like a really long time!

If she's crying, then immediately, but if she's just babbling away to herself I domt go in unless she starts to whine or cry.
