Tonsillitis

Not been feeling well last couple of days and realised it’s tonsillitis this morning. My little one is 3 weeks old and I’m exclusively breastfeeding. Has anyone else had it, and have you been prescribed antibiotics?? Keen to kick it ASAP as it’s making the nights 10 times worse than they already are - I’m exhausted !! Thanks 🙏

I’m fairly sure ive got it and my little one is 6 weeks, im also exclusively breastfeeding, i need to phone the doctors but havent managed to yet x

Hi, had tonsillitis 3 weeks ago and I was on antibiotics for a week .. baby got some diarrhea for few days because of the antibiotics but apart from that he was fine!

Most tonsillitis is viral so no need for antibiotics. A gp could prescribe some if they thought it was bacterial
