Side Sleeping

I thought I was a side sleeper but my husband keeps telling me he sees me sleeping on my back in the middle of the night. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to avoid that?

I’m the same way. I frequently wake up on my back, even with my pregnancy pillow. I’ve tried wedging other pillows behind my back too and still always wake up on my back in the middle of the night. I brought it up to my midwife and she basically told me that I’m okay and that my body will subconsciously correct itself, or I’ll wake up, if I’m low on oxygen 🤷🏻‍♀️ so I just kind of stopped stressing about it haha

Exactly the same for me and what @Rena said. My doctor told me the same thing.

If uu get a pregnancy pillow it means uu can sleep on ur side with one side between ur legs to support ur pelvis and the other but goes up and around ur head and down again so uu can tuck that behind uu and it helps stop uu from rolling on ur back

My doctor told me similar to @Rena, as well. He said baby will also let you know if they’re uncomfortable. (Mostly in 3rd trimester - on the right side). I’m paranoid, so I have my husband wake me up and rotate if he sees me lol The Mom Cozy pregnancy pillow has been the BEST investment though… I’m able to go to sleep quickly after bathroom breaks

Amazing thank you ladies! This makes me feel so much better I was stressing out over it!

Same is happening with me! Either I end up on my back by accident or sometimes I’m so restless and uncomfortable/or my hips hurt that I have no choice but to lay on my back.

Sleeping on my back is the only thing that's comfortable for me :p My hips hurt definitely after laying on it

I’ve always been a side sleeper and just before I got pregnant I was trying to train myself to sleep on my back to avoid face wrinkles and now it’s hard for me to sleep on my side all night ugh lol
