feel like a bad parent
what would you have done?
my nearly 4 year old has been toilet trained for months now. i was just feeding his sister and he asked me to go to the toilet with him, i explained ‘i can’t i’m just feeding your sister the lights are all on so please go by yourself’ he just kept refusing and then stood there, looked at me and wet himself
i’m so cross. immediately after i asked him to go and wash his hands and he had no issues going and washing his hands. why did he do that!!!
it’s so dirty im really cross with him. do i let him know he isn’t to do that? because it wasn’t an accident he knew exactly what he was doing

I wouldn’t go down the route of “it’s dirty”. I would do as above and explain that he won’t always be able to have company to the toilet and that’s ok

It may have been deliberate, but it was because he was upset that he couldn't have your attention at the time. Chat with him and explain that you know he wanted mummy to come with him, but that you couldn't at that time. Remind him it's OK to go by himself and that accidents do happen. It's difficult for siblings as they get jealous (understandably) x
