drowsy but awake?

I’ve always had the same bedtime routine with my LO where he eats and falls asleep while i hold him then i transfer him to his bed and he’s always slept very good for the most part (10pm-7am) on his own. I think he’s starting to go through his 4 month sleep regression as he’ll be 4 months on the second and everything i’m reading says put them to bed drowsy but awake and i just know that won’t work for him 😅 he can usually self soothe if he wakes up through the night but right now he’s waking every couple hours and not falling back asleep. suggestions?

nahh during the sleep regression I feed my baby to sleep and then I let her contact sleep on me for about 10-20 minutes before I transfer her so that she doesn’t wake up cause that drowsy but awake does not work 😭

Same! We started drowsy but awake right before the sleep regression hit but it went right out the window with the regression. It’s hard enough getting them to sleep during a regression. I would do it whatever way is easiest for your baby.
