Airplane-friendly toys for 12 month old?

Posted in another group, but didn’t get responses. Wondering what type of toys I could buy that my kid will be entertained with during a flight. We’re trying to avoid screen time if we can. Thank you!!

My baby isn’t attached to me?

I keep seeing people say that their baby only settles with them and looks for them etc and it’s really hurtful as it’s not true for my baby at all, not in the last few months anyway. When I leave he doesn’t bother that I’ve returned and doesn’t make eye contact with me often but will make direct eye contact with o...

Weaning, no idea where to start!

My baby girl is 5.5 months so wanted to start preparing her for solids. I’m exclusively breastfeeding right now. Any ideas of what I need to get, particular brands to go for/ avoid? Also would I need to pump to add milk to the purées?

Childminder or nursery?

Curious to hear anyone who’s already had children how they’ve managed childcare? We have my LO provisionally booked into nursery 2 days a week come September however she will be in a room with 8 other babies… I don’t know why but this makes me very anxious. It’s also SUPER expensive (private nursery). I’ve been thin...

Do I involve my mum too much? Long post sorry

Me and my mum are close and after seeing a few other posts saying how much they contact their parents, I’m starting to feel like maybe I involve her too much with my life. My mum and I are neighbours and ever since my eldest (21 months old) was a baby she would offer to look after him for a few hours for me to do h...

Basically yesterday I fed the kid, bathed her, changed her soiled diapers all the while when he was browsing the web. I am a work frm home mum and he is currently jobless. Swim nappies

Hi all. My lb is potty trained and having very few accidents. We're going on holiday at the end of May. Do I still put him in swim nappies? He's not done a poo in his pants for weeks/months but I'm not convinced he'll be motivated to get out of the pool if he needs one.

Would you rather your child be toilet trained or know how to read?

My 5 year old relative soils herself everyday, sometimes multiple times a day and their parents don't see it as an issue and they say atleast she can read. I'm baffled by that response but want to know if I'm the awkward one or if other people would be happy with this

Evening all, my nearly 3 year old has been toilet trained for wees and out of nappies in the day for nearly a year but she still refuses to poo on the toilet.. She gets herself in a right state when we ask her to poo on a toilet and holds her poos for days and then she gets severely constipated. We’ve started not ...

Screen time

Hi all, what are your thoughts/ experience with screen time? I want to keep it to a minimum where possible, but I watch tv sometimes as I feed my little one and have noticed he'll sometimes be looking at the TV while feeding. I also put dancing fruits on for him for 5 minutes today and it calmed him down but he was...

Now she’s going crazy and cry’s over the spoons, wants to play and I’m struggling to get much in without her eventually crying. So I thought I’d move to baby led wean...

Cries when sees other people

My 4.5mo son keeps hysterically crying (proper teary) when we have visitors over. As soon as he sees them he pauses and starts going red and tearfully crying. After a while later he jokes and smiles with them but as long as i’m holding him. He does this with my parents and husband’s parents and anyone who is not me ...
