Periods of frustration

Is anyone going through a phase of just frustration? I give her a toy and she gets angry and starts screaming at it, put her on playmat, screams at the dangling lions, literally everything. It’s so loud in our house🙉🙉

Does anyone else have a toddler that just wants to be picked up?

Trying to get him to walk more but it just always results in him wanting to be picked up. Even at home he’ll want to be picked up whilst I’m cooking etc.. don’t know if I’m overthinking it or he should be walking more at this age? He’s an active toddler always playing and at nursery full-time.

Hitting! Help!

My daughter is three in April and is such a lovely girl! She’s kind and cuddley and shy. When she sees other kids she is shy at first then plays with them. However she has a 2years old cousin and is so aggressive with her. Today we went to play at grandmas house and she pushed / ran at and threw stuff at her cousi...

18mo and not yet talking

My 18mo boy babbles alot, makes noises, points, seems to understand alot of the things I say or ask but he is still not saying any words himself. I know all babies are different and learn to talk in their own time, but at what age do they say you should be more concerned? My eldest girl was very vocal and said wor...

I feel like I'm failing

My daughter is 1, she doesn't talk, only babbles. She occasionally waves but only if I wave first, does not clap or point. I work with her daily on words, clapping and pointing, I try to teach her the signs for more and all done and she's just not picking up any of it. I'm starting to get concerned. Her pediatrician...

Crying

My little girl is 10 weeks old and for the past 3 days she starts crying at one point in the afternoon and there’s very little we can do to stop this. It usually lasts a good 30 mins before it stops. Has anyone else experienced this at this stage and if so how long did it last? She never really cried before this so ...

Anyone else’s baby started to give less eye contact around 4.5 - 5 months?

My boy is 5 months old today and the past week or 2 I’ve noticed he’s much less engaged with people than he used to be. He used to be great with eye contact and be very engaged with people talking to him, smiling and babbling back Now he seems a lot more like he tries to look anywhere except a persons face most of ...

She is 15 months but I've noticed she doesn't interact with other babies/toddlers. Is this normal for this age?

Babies NEEDS to learn how to self soothe

What are your thoughts on teaching babies to sooth themselves ? Either by crying like Ferber method or other methods out there ?

Should I be concerned?

My little boy is now trying to get himself in position to crawl (getting on his knees) but his arms are still flat on the floor, sort of like an army crawl, when he's doing this he starts to bob his head up and down like headbanging 🤦‍♀️ obviously I'm worried about him hitting his head on the floor even though…

Is your kid the biter?

My sweet 2 year old is the biter in her daycare class and I’m (perhaps irrationally) devastated. It started around 18 months with 2 incidents over about a 2 month period. I thought we were past it, but we just got another incident report at daycare yesterday (she just turned two in early March). We read her a book ...

Does anyone else’s baby scratch as a form of self soothing?

Ours has done this since she was couple of weeks old, now six month. She does it when she’s hungry tired, hungry or frustrated.

Pre crawling methods

Did anyone’s baby start crawling from sitting up and leaning forward, rather than being in tummy time and lifting themselves up? Our baby seems to do the former all the time and wants to be upright rather than in tummy time.

Baby’s cry has changed from normal crying to screaming - what could be the reason?

In the past few days I noticed that my baby’s cry changed and became more like screaming and is hysterical at times. What could be the reason for that change? He is his happy self most of the time, but when he gets upset he goes from a calm state to a hysterical cry as if he is in pain 😣

Does it get easier??

My LO still screams at every drop off to nursery and also cries at pick up. He also is very emotional throughout the day at nursery and just wants to be held by his key worker. He was on hunger strike before but now that has gotten a little better and he does eat. I find it really difficult to see him so upset. Does...

Not talking and not pointing at 18 months (almost 19!)

So my son has no words, he doesn't point and he recently started kindergarten and my suspicion is that the teacher suspects autism red flags. She tried engaging him in peekaboo today and he didn't react. However he plays peekaboo with us at home all the time. He also used to flip objects before, he stopped but since...

Anyone’s baby biting? Help

At first, my baby was just doing it to me and he was like biting the material of my clothes. He’s got lots of teeth coming through atm. But the first time yesterday he was doing it to my mum. He is starting nursery in a month 😬 when I tell him no he just laughs! So not sure if best to ignore it? Not sure what the…
